A “Sitar Concerto”? Yes. Indeed. On tonight’s Evening Concert from Los Angeles

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Los Angeles Philharmonic” with a concert from their vast archive. Anoushka Shankar is the soloist in Ravi Shankar’s “2nd Concerto for Sitar and Orchestra”. Also on the program: Richard Strauss’ “Ein Helden leben” (A Hero’s’ Life).
