Over the decades in which Leonard Bernstein recorded for Columbia Records, he put on discs hundreds of works by a multitude of composers. Bernstein had his specialties, such as Mahler, but his tastes were far reaching, from Bach to the Viennese classics and on to the great composers of the Romantic movement. On this week's Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will delve into the treasure trove of Bernstein's Columbia recordings.
