Sept. 23 – Oct. 3, 2016: A tour of Tuscany & Umbria

Join fellow fans of WILL for a custom-designed tour of Tuscany and Umbria in Italy – with a two-night stay in Rome to wrap up your tour.  We fly to Rome, then board a private motor coach for a comfortable drive to Radda in Chianti (home of the famous wine.)  There we’ll stay at an 18th century manor house.  While there, you can wander through the small town on foot (shops and restaurants close by) – or borrow a bicycle to take in the countryside.  After four relaxing nights in Tuscany, it’s on to Umbria for a stay at a lovely boutique hotel.  Along the way, we’ve planned stops at beautiful natural spots, ancient historical sites and picturesque towns including Assisi and Spoleto.  We’ll have a private tour of the new vineyard and winery established by American Lidia Bastianich, host of Lidia’s Italy on WILL-TV.  There will be two chances to try your own hand at Italian cuisine.  Italian chefs will open their homes and kitchens for private instruction and leisurely meals!

This year’s compact driving itinerary is designed for more relaxation, and a little less time, overall, on the motor coach – while still allowing us to see three distinct parts of this beautiful country.  Friends of WILL tours are always delightful company with much to see, learn and do while traveling.
