Sunday night October 6 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 you’ll hear two string quartets by Shostakovich from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Luis Pasquet on Fiesta and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.

Thursday night October 3 at 7:00 on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 you’ll hear another episode of “The Sound of 13”, a program that investigates the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.  

Wednesday night October 2 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s first program in a new series from the European Broadcast Union. You’ll hear the Vienna Philharmonic led by Riccardo Muti in audience favorites like Brahms’ “Hungarian Dances” and Grieg’s “Morning” from “Peer Gynt”. 

Tuesday night October 1 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  Andras Schiff is the soloist in Dohnanyi’s “Variations on a Nursery Song” for piano and orchestra. Also on the program Del Tredici’s “Final Alice”.

Monday night September 30 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL, 90.9FM/HD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Sharon Isbin is the guitar soloist in Manuel Ponce’s “Concierto del sur”. Also on the program Manuel de Falla’s “The Three-Cornered Hat” and “El Amor Brujo”.
