Gov. Bruce Rauner has won a small victory as the House failed to override his  veto of legislation banning local governments from setting up "right-to-work''  zones. 

State Senator Andy Manar says Rauner's veto of SB1 is an "all-out-assault" on public education.

Governor Rauner issued an amendatory veto to Senate Bill One, leaving public school funding in limbo.

As supporters of automatic voter registration were set to hold a press conference Monday morning, Gov. Bruce Rauner was defending his veto of a plan that would have made it a reality in Illinois.
