Vaughan Williams wrote his "Fantasia" in 1910 with a premiere later that same year; the Walton Violin Concerto dates from 1938-39 and had it's premeiere in Cleveland with the dedicatee Heifetz as soloist, Rodzinski conducting.
One of those Concertos for Piano and Orchestra is by Mozart (his 20th) and one by Prokofiev (his 3rd)....
After the Second World War, actor Christopher Plummer worked with Sir Neville Marriner and others to create the work now known as "A Shakespeare Scenario" using Shakespeare's words and music by Sir William Walton originally frmo the film "Henry V" by Sir Lawrence Olivier.
