Wednesday night August 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. You’ll hear two works inspired by cities: New York and Los Angeles: Aaron Copland’s “Quiet City” and John Adams’ “City Noir”.  Also on the program Timo Andres’ “Made of Tunes”.

Monday night November 13 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Daniil Trifonov is the soloist in Beethoven’s “4th Piano Concerto”. Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts.  Also on the program Copland’s “Quiet City” and Anna Clyne’s “Within Her Arms”.

Monday night September 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Beethoven’s “4th Piano Concerto” with soloist Daniil Trifonov, Copland’s “Quiet City” and George Walker’s “Antifonys”. Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts.

Thursday night June 16 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. From their archives you’ll hear Bernstein’s “Serenade (After Plato’s “Symposium”)” and Copland’s “Quiet City”. Music Director Laureate Edo de Waart conducts.  Also on the program John Adams “Harmonielehre”.
