Students from eight high schools in the Champaign-Urbana area will stage a demonstration Saturday to call for stronger gun control measures. The protest is one of hundreds of similar events happening across the country, including Washington D.C., under the moniker “March For Our Lives.”

The University of Illinois College of Law Dean says people who protested the visit of the U.S., Deputy Solicitor General protested the wrong person.

Students at Parkland Community College rallied in support of a student arrested earlier this month, saying police and administrators are "persecuting" black students and teachers. 

A man who appeared to be protesting Saturday with a group of self-proclaimed fascists is accused of killing a woman and injuring multiple others by driving his car into a crowd of marchers in Charlottesville, Va.
