You’ll hear Nathan Milstein as the soloist in Mendelssohn’s “E Minor Violin Concerto” with Bruno Walter conducting.  Also on the program Beethoven’s “Missa Solemnis” led by Kurt Masur.

Monday night April 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear an encore presentation of the program that concluded Alan Gilbert’s first season as Music Director of the Philharmonic with the world premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s “Al Largo” followed by Beethoven’s “Missa Solemnis”.

Monday night August 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  You’ll hear Beethoven’s “Missa solemnis” (Solemn Mass) with vocal soloists Christine Brewer, Jane Henschel, Anthony Dean Griffey, and Eric Owens. Alan Gilbert conducts.
