University of Illinois wheelchair athlete Daniel Romanchuk won the Chicago Marathon men’s wheelchair division Sunday for the second year in a row.

University of Illinois graduate Tatyana McFadden has her second gold medal to go with one silver at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She and two colleagues from the U of I (Amanda McGrory and Chelsea McClammer) swept the medals in the women's 1500 meters Tuesday.

University of Illinois graduate Tatyana McFadden has won her fourth straight women's wheelchair race at the Boston Marathon.  McFadden completed the 26.2-mile course from Hopkinton to Copley Square in an official time of 1 hour, 42 minutes, 16 seconds.
