Unfinished Business

On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, enjoy a concert from the campus of the University of Illinois with Sinfonia da Camera led by Ian Hobson. Some of the finest area musicians come together to share their talent and love of music for Champaign-Urban audiences, and WILL-FM is pleased to help them share it with the world. “Business” starts with The Tempest Overture by little known composer Cipriani Potter. There’s “new business” as we hear a new concerto for flute and orchestra by Richard Prior featuring University of Illinois Professor Jonathan Keeble. Ian Hobson is “all about business” as soloist and conductor in Saint-Saens Second Piano Concerto. And “business” concludes with Schubert’s famous Symphony No. 8 in B Minor, D. 759 “Unfinished.”
