Transfigurations
On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, we hear a concert with the University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra with music director and conductor, Donald Schleicher and graduate conducting assistant, Cameron May. On the program we will hear Hector Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture, a work by U of I composer, Stephen Andrew Taylor called Transfigurations for vocal soloists and orchestra, and the first symphony by Johannes Brahms, the C minor, Op. 68.
