On the 60th anniversary of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, the UI Jazz faculty represent the driving hard bop style of the 1950s, with aggressive swing and powerful drumming. Chip McNeill leads the band in selections from the most famous Jazz Messengers’ recordings including At the Café Bohemia.
