Episode six of Prairie Fire takes us on location to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, Illinois to enjoy the colors and cucurbits of the season. We get a personal tour of the newly redecorated Illinois Governor's Mansion from First Lady MK Pritzker, who documented the history of the house -- and its changes -- in a new book called "A House that Made History". And we travel to a spooky hotel in Alton, Illinois with historian and author Troy Taylor, who's an expert on Illinois ghost stories.
The Great Pumpkin Patch
We filmed this episode from the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, Illinois. Prairie Fire correspondent Tinisha Spain toured the patch with owner and manager Mac Condill, who shared his global knowledge and passion for the cucubits of the season. Sarah and Tinisha had a little fun sampling some of the baked goods from the onsite Homestead Bakery.
