UI Police Chief Christensen To Retire

The University of Illinois Police Chief is retiring at the end of the year, after more than three decades of serving the Urbana campus.

Chief Jeff Christensen will retire December 31st. Christensen joined the campus police force as a student volunteer in 1983. He worked through the ranks and became Chief in 2012.

Deputy Chief Matt Myrick will replace Christensen as Chief on January first, subject to approval from the Board of Trustees.
