The University of Illinois Lyric Theatre’s production of the Berlioz opera “Beatrice and Benedict” opens Thursday night at Krannert Center’s Tryon Festival Theatre. Opera director Michael John Foster and Director of Lyric Theatre Studies Julie Gunn stopped by our studios to talk about this production, and we also heard performances from cast members Emily Alcorn as Beatrice, Aaron James as Benedict, and Nora Benedict as Hero.
Two different casts will offer four performances of "Beatrice & Benedict" at Krannert Center's Tryon Festival Theatre. Tickets are available at the Krannert Center Ticket Office.
