Sullivan Woman Found Dead, Man Injured

State Police are investigating a suspected homicide in Sullivan.
43 year old Sheri Randall and 40 year old Michael Yost were both discovered with stab wounds in a Sullivan apartment Wednesday morning, by a woman who then called local police.
Yost was still alive, but Randall was pronounced dead by the Moultrie County Coroner. Preliminary results from an autopsy Thursday show that she died from multiple stab wounds.
Yost has been hospitalized in Decatur.
The Zone 5 division of Illinois State Police is taking the lead in the investigation. They’re giving no further details, but say the investigation appears to be an isolated incident, and that there’s no reason to fear any further threat to the community.
