St. Joseph Woman Continues Sharing Story Of Recovery
Last week, we introduced you to Jaime Smith a mother of four from St. Joseph who is recovering from addiction to prescription pain killers and heroin.
According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, Jaime is just one of more than two-and-a-half million people in 2015 who had a substance use disorder involving prescription opioid pain killers or heroin.
As Illinois Public Media’s Brian Moline reports, recovery from opioid addiction is a difficult journey, but it’s sometimes even more difficult to begin.
