On Wednesday, Mary Kay Mace joined a rally against gun violence at the Old State Capitol in Springfield. She says she hopes when people see her they realize that gun violence can affect them and their children.

The rally was part of an effort by Organizing for Action, a nonprofit group that stemmed from President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.
