Lessons to be Learned From the UVA Sexual Assault Crisis

The University of Virginia announced that it is reinstating the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity this week.
The chapter was suspended after Rolling Stone published an article about an undergraduate student that was allegedly gang raped at the fraternity house.
Since then, the article has been largely discredited due to discrepancies in the victim’s account. Kerri True-Funk is the Executive Director at Rape, Advocacy, Counseling and Education Services in Urbana.
She tells Illinois Public Media’s Tiffany Jolley that she’s concerned about sexual assault survivors coming forward with their stories.
