Chancellor Announces Finalists For Vice Chancellor And Provost Position at Urbana

University of Illinois Urbana campus Chancellor Robert Jones has announced the final four candidates for Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Provost.

Jones announced the finalists in a mass email Thursday.

The candidates are:

  • Chaden Djalali, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Iowa.
  • Sonny Ramaswamy, Director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture at the United States Department of Agriculture.
  • Andreas Cangellaris, Dean of the College of Engineering at UIUC.
  • And, Joan Ferrini-Mundy, Chief Operating Officer for the National Science Foundation.

All four candidates will give public presentations on the U of I Urbana campus as part of the final interview process.

John Wilken has been serving as interim provost since Edward Feser left the position to become provost at Oregon State University in February.
