Chamber music by Davidovsky, then music from Spain on “Early Music Now” on the “Evening Concert”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear music by Davidovsky and Alan Smith on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear motets and more from the Spanish Renaissance on “Early Music Now”.

Spain's Golden Age

The focus of this week's show is music from the cathedrals, courts, and streets of Renaissance Spain. Magnificent motets by Guerrero and monumental tientos for organ by Correa de Arauxo alternate with joyous celebrations of life like A la vida bona by Arañés. Our performers include organist Bernard Foccroulle, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, and the Westminster Cathedral Choir.
