Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s “Suite for Piano Left Hand and Strings on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 it’s an episode of “Early Music Now” called “A More Subtle Art”.

A More Subtle Art

The late 14th century was a time of experimentation, with composers attaining new heights of rhythmic and melodic complexity. The exponents of this "more subtle art" included Baude Cordier, Jacob Senleches, and the anonymous composers at the court of King Janus of Nicosia.
