Art Teacher Engages Students with PBS Resources

KiLee Lidwell McFerren describes her experiences using PBS LearningMedia resources with her art students at Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School.

She says the videos, photographs and  other resources expose her students to things they wouldn't experience otherwise. "When I first started, I would share prints of works of art," she said. "Now we can get online and they can point out artists that they like. I’ve learned a lot from having access to the technology. And I’ve learned about new technologies in things like watercolor and photo transfer. And my students can share what they know with me. It is much more interactive."
