Discussion of the NBA D-League, two of golf's great rivalries, and the USWNT's quest for equal pay are among this week's topics. Come on aboard! Jim Kelly/for Illinois Public Media

Giddyup! Fellow Bandwagoneer John Steinbacher calls in sick, but we keep it rolling. Feel better soon, John!

In this episode, we're offering up another installment of "Better Tate Than Never". This time, Brian and Lisa haul in former NBA D-League PR guy Travis Tate and quiz him about his time in "The League", riffing off a recent Embedded podcast that followed two young men as they were trying to break into the big time. (RUMBLE 4 EVAH!)

Lisa brings the rivalry this week: It's all about that swingin' 60s -> 70s -> 80s golf dance between Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson. Here's a video of the chip shot that signaled the bginning of Watson's dominance over Nicklaus - it's from 1982's U.S. Open.

We discuss a couple of interesting social media moments, including Brian's discovery of some Cubs call-up awkwardness via Twitter, and this lovely piece we caught on social media by the late Roger Ebert, describing what it was like to watch Rocky II with the late, great(est) Muhammad Ali.

Labor dispute for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team? Not yet

And Lisa goes off, rather suddenly, on the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team's terrible performance in their first match vs Colombia in the Copa America Centenario (being played in the U.S., no less). This freakout surely helped the U.S. beat Costa Rica handily in their next match. YOU ARE WELCOME, gents.

As always, thanks for listening, and there's always plenty of room for everyone to hop on...
