A community coalition, including Carle Foundation Hospital, the advocacy group Champaign County Healthcare Consumers, and the engineering department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign,  is developing new community known as Hope Village, to support people experiencing homelessness in the Champaign-Urbana community. The project is designed to bring “adult community members most at risk” into 30 tiny homes, offering health and social services that will give them the footing to build more stability in their lives.
