The Illinois National Guard celebrates its 300th anniversary

On May 9, the Illinois National Guard marked its 300th anniversary, and a few days earlier, the organization celebrated with events and exhibitions in Springfield.
The 21st was joined by the Illinois National Guard's public affairs director and command historian to talk about the group's history, from their inception in the 1700s all the way through the modern age.
