Reporter roundtable: The Illinois Report Card
We are now well into the school year, and we have a clearer picture of how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected student enrollment thanks to an annual report from the Illinois State Board of Education called the Illinois Report Card. We're also seeing how the pandemic is contributing to school staff shortages around Illinois, where districts are struggling to find teachers, substitutes, bus drivers, and other school employees across the state. To talk about it, The 21st was joined by reporters from around the state.
