Governor JB Pritzker (D) will face farmer and state Senator Darren Bailey (R) in his re-election campaign this fall. Overall primary election night turned out better for Republicans who have sided with, or at least not challenged, former President Trump’s false statements about the 2020 elections. It was also a good night for Republicans who’ve been vocal about opposing Gov. Pritzker’s COVID-19 mitigations.
