Shuttered Libraries Find Ways to Serve Communities Virtually

Last month when libraries closed across Illinois, it meant more than just a loss of reading material. We hear about some of the ways that libraries are continuing to try to serve their communities.

Concerns over the coronavirus pandemic forced the closure of both public and school libraries across the state last month. For many, closed libraries means more than just a loss of reading material for local communities - it can also mean a loss of shelter, safety or even just productivity. 

But, closed doors does not mean that libraries have stopped serving their patrons.
