The State of the State and budget address is the governor’s opportunity to lay out his policy agenda for the coming year. It’s also, more importantly, when he presents his proposal for how much the government of Illinois will collect in taxes from its citizens and how it will spend that money.
For another perspective on the state of the state, what we already know the governor will propose, and what else lawmakers want to hear, we were joined by the Illinois Senate Minority Leader.
