The battle against plastic in our waterways
When plastic was first invented, it was seen as a miracle product that has transformed the way we live, becoming an essential component of nearly all the products we use today. However, all of this plastic is creating huge problems in our environment, especially in our waterways It’s led to a number of policy responses and it’s the focus of a new exhibit, “The Blue Paradox,” at The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
We explore how the new exhibit sheds light on how plastic is hurting our lakes and waters.
