Gov. DeSantis visits Peoria to sold out crowd and protests
This past Friday night, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came to Peoria as the keynote speaker for the Peoria and Tazewell County Lincoln Day Dinner, one of the largest GOP gatherings in the state. It was his second visit to Illinois in recent months. Meanwhile, several groups gathered in downtown Peoria to protest DeSantis’s appearance as he spoke to a sold-out crowd.
