Author Francesca Royster discusses “Black Country Music: Listening for Revolutions”

The great musician Charley Pride was regarded as the biggest Black artist in country music for decades. Since then, we've seen Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown, Lil Nas X and so many other successful Black artists in country music. Illinois-based writer, scholar, and country music fan Francesca Royster to hear more about the nuance of Black people listening and performing country music.
