Janelle James returns to Illinois where her comedy career began

Before playing a principal on ABC's 'Abbott Elementary' who makes videos, podcasts and sells items out of her under resourced Philadelphia elementary school, actor Janelle James had a long standup career, which she revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live began in Champaign. The US Virgin Islands native performed extensively in Peoria as well. James will be performing stand-up Saturday, October 14 at Millikin’s Kirkland Fine Arts Center in Decatur.
