How To Stay Safe On Winter Roads

Much of Illinois saw wintry weather this week, as a swath of snow made its way from Colorado to the Ohio Valley, blanketing the Midwest and making travel on roads a bit tricky. Even if you’re trying to avoid the icy weather at all costs, odds are you’re probably going to have to venture out in it at some point. 

We spoke with Mike Behrmann, chair of the automotive department at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, to dispel some common winter driving myths and learn how we can prepare our cars for the cold.
