Atomic Age Cocktail Party

This week, on The Atomic Age Cocktail Party, we’re feeling Lightly Latin. It's that mix of a driving Latin beat filtered through the cocktail cool of the Atomic Age. Music iced just right for the easy-listening, hi-fi crowd. We’ll hear from Peter Nero, Caterina Valente, Sergio Mendes, Martin Denny, and many more.
Evening Concert

Monday night May 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear a 2011 recording in which Alan Gilbert conducted a staged production of Janáček's seventh opera, “The Cunning Little Vixen”, a playful, yet poignant, reflection on the cycle of life.

Our first John Frayne Classical Music Graduate Student Work Experience fellow, Julia Escobar, guest hosts this very special Prairie Performances, curated by her and featuring the fantastic flute.
Classics of the Phonograph
Saturdays at 11 am
On this very special edition, John Frayne will be joined in studio by Julia Escobar—the first ever John Frayne Classical Music Grad Fellow—who will share her favorite flute recordings from the 20th century.
